New faces join INTend

The names of the first key staff appointed by the Company set up to tackle regeneration issues right across Tendring have been announced.

INTend, recently published its Delivery Plan setting out the key projects it is going to undertake. Today it reveals the names of the key personnel it has recruited to turn these proposals into reality.

“We set out to recruit people with a proven track record in delivering major projects and with experience of working in both the public and private sector. I’m delighted that we have been able to achieve that”, said Les Double, the director who chaired the recruitment panel.

Amanda Douglass, formerly of GVA Grimley has delivered major regeneration projects in the Sunderland area. Her skills will be complimented by Matthew Hill, who has a previous relationship with the area when working for Trinity House but until recently employed by Carter Jonas. Both are Chartered Surveyors and have considerable expertise in developing and delivering innovative projects.

They are joined by Alison Jennings, previously with Southend Borough Council where she worked closely with their counterpart regeneration company. Alison has worked on major tourism projects as well as promoting economic development and securing external funding.

Les Double added “We wanted to build a team with a wide range of skills and expertise. I believe we have achieved this and that INTend is now in a position to move forward into the next phase of our development.”
