Tendring has received substantial funding from the Government’s New Growth Point initiative as part of its participation in the Haven Gateway Partnership.
The money, available over a three year period has been allocated to the following key projects which will be delivered by the Company:-
Harwich Masterplan phase 1 - £1.25m to be spent by March 2010
Walton Masterplan - £100k in 2008/09
Frinton Town Centre - £500k by March 2011
Clacton Town centre Phase 2 - £300k by March 2011
Although it is expected that these funds will generate further funds of at least a similar level the allocation will enable a substantial amount of work to get underway.
